功能

Data Service connects the plant to the app. All data sent via theplant bus ends up in the Data Service and can be stored there in astructured manner. The various connectors (e.g. S7 Connector in theIndustrial Edge or Open Pipe in the Unified Comfort Panel) canserve as the plant bus.

Data Service is a centrally usable element for structuring andstoring data that can be used by other Edge apps via an APIinterface so that they do not have to implement their own datamanagement. Functions such as aggregations, data storage andstructuring are available.

Each node in the structure is referred to as an asset and helps todivide the machine into different areas. Based on the structure, itis easier to provide specific data for all higher-level apps, suchas Performance Insight or other apps, even those developedin-house.
